The NIOS Edge

Students at the Steering Wheel of their Education

Students can choose what to learn, when to learn, how to learn and when to appear for the examination. There is no restriction of time, place and pace of learning, and this gives the students control and ownership over their learning.

Wide Variety of Subjects

NIOS offers a wide variety of subjects, and students can choose any combination of subjects based on their interests and ambitions.

Flexible Examinations

Two Public Examinations are conducted every year, and students can take upto nine Public Examinations over a period of five years. This means that students get to choose which subjects to take and when to take them based on their preparation.

Functional Curriculum

The NIOS curriculum is framed to be functional, relevant to daily life and to prepare students for further studies. Successful alumni of NIOS are pursuing their higher education in institutes of national and international repute such as IIT, Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University and Allahabad University.

Recognized & Reputed
