On November 29th, The Pupil Saveetha Eco School had the privilege of hosting Ms. Lakshmi Iyer, distinguished author of 'Why is my hair curly.' Ms. Iyer, a MBA graduate from the LeBow College of Business and Yale Writer's Workshop alum, engaged students in an insightful session.She spoke on the inspiration behind her work and also read aloud a few excerpts from her book. She offered valuable guidance on crafting culturally rooted narratives. The interactive dialogue saw students seeking advice on book writing, culminating in the opportunity to acquire signed copies of Ms. Iyer's book. This event not only enriched literary understanding but also reignited a fervor for reading among our students.

Her extensive work in India and the U.S., proficiency in 8 Indian languages, and representation in the IVLP showcase her dedication. Learners delved into the theme "Who We Are," gaining a nuanced understanding of how good choices lead to a happier life.

Form 3 students were enthralled by Mr. Anant Ram Bhaskar, Director of Katrali Heritage Essentials, who delved into the profound connection between Hindu mythology and astronomy. Unveiling the celestial tales embedded in epic stories, he showcased the ancient roots of planet names, predating Western contributions. The lecture unveiled a hidden history, illuminating India's rich astronomical knowledge. It left us all stargazing in wonder, appreciating the profound influence of the cosmos on ancient societies.
